Last month, we spoke to you about this Nespresso contest which defies established cinematographic conventions : Nespresso Talents 2016. This contest promotes audiovisual creation in an original format, the vertical one, filmed with a smartphone, and theme of which is exploration of the vision of extraordinary. The jury is composed of three talented directors, Erik Schmitt, Gaëlle Denis and Eva Weber, who chose 20 projects, from documentary to animation, via poignant drama, movies which profoundly moved them or made made you laugh out loud.
This vertical format, very trendy, inspired numerous talents and filmmakers, who, throughout the world, from France to Russia via Argentina, submitted their short films to jury of Nespresso. We present you our five favorites today, the complete list is available on Nespresso website. At the end of the contest, May 12th, 3 happy choosen filmmakers will have the chance to win 6000€, as well as to see their creation revealed during Cannes Film Festival, during a private projection. They will also be the guests of festival. In less than 3 minutes, let your imagination be rocked by poetry and fired by unexpected of these 7th art gemmes.

Tilt, by Fred Cavender. A self-taught filmmaker with a love for sci-fi, superheroes and macaroni cheese.
An abyss of tenderness, by Valentin Henning. A Stuttgart-based artist and filmmaker, who is currently working on his first feature film.
Cavallo, by Joana Maria Sousa. “They call me the pure creator of things. I don’t know what it means. Not even who are them. But it sounds pretty much it.”
